In addition to planning engineering science courses, the vice-chancellor for education is responsible for planning basic science courses for the students of the engineering colleges. Also, he plans algorithms and computation courses for postgraduate studies (master's and doctoral).
 
The job description of the vice-chancellor for education of the school of engineering science is as follows:
    • Managing the faculty educational council meetings
    • Attending the college educational council meetings
    • Attending meetings of the board of directors, faculty council, educational council and graduate studies
    • Managing requests to change majors and clusters and double majors
    • Managing the revision of curriculums
    • Reporting to the general council of the faculty
    • Performing other campus-assigned tasks
    • Determining the schedule of classes and exams at the beginning of each semester and informing students and instructors
    • Introducing the educational rules to the newly hired and adjunct professors
    • Providing information about the exam schedule and rules to the instructors, students, and related staffs
    • Supervising the process of holding exams and exam proctors
    • Guiding students during course selection
    • Managing specific requests during course selection
    • Control over under-quorum courses, deciding on the faculty council, and informing the college
    • Keeping classes on schedule
    • The final control of the semester program
    • Managing the selection of teaching assistants and the quality of their work
    • Managing the proposal approval process and announcing the bachelor project's grade
    • Collaborate with the faculty internship coordinator
    • Helping students to solve their academic problems
    • Confirming the list of teaching assistants
    • Confirming withdrawal requests from a semester due to medical issues
    • Keeping instructors informed about the schedule of the announcement of grades
    • Managing the scoring announcements after the deadline
    • Managing requests for grade and plan changes in the faculty council
    • Confirming the matching of units for graduation and settlement
    • Review, interview, and announce the results of undergraduate candidates for elite programs
    • Identifying and confirming the top-ranking students for the graduation celebration each year
    • Managing applications to use the elites quota to enter the master and doctorate and announcing the results to the campus
    • Managing single lesson requests
    • Making decisions regarding educational applications and correspondence with the College (continuing education, late registration/drop of courses, late registration of project or internship scores, answering score inquiries, etc.)
    • Determining and introducing the list of eligible students to participate in the student Olympiads
    • Managing cluster determination for students
    • Determining the level of abroad graduates
    • Decisions to transfer students, take a semester off, withdraw from university and withdraw from a semester due to medical issues
    • Introducing top students to the College
    • Informing freshmen about important education tips/highlights and rules during welcoming ceremony
    • Managing student educational complaints
    • Monitoring the quality of the course presentation through communication with students and reviewing instructor's evaluations
