The goal of this course is to become acquainted with nanotechnology and intelligent materials which are important multidisciplinary areas. Nanotechnology is science, engineering and technology conducted at the nanoscale (about 1 to 100 nanometers) with the goal of manipulation of matter on an atomic, molecular, and submicron scale. Meanwhile, advanced and intelligent materials including piezoelectric materials, memory alloys, piezomagnets, materials with functional variables and composites have also been of particular interest to researchers and have largely entered the nano world.
4 semesters
Graduated students, in addition to having a thorough view of nanoscale phenomena and processes, have the potential to utilize commonly used tools and techniques to provide industrial products and applied scale theories in nanometer scale. Meanwhile, they will be able to utilize advanced and smart materials in various fields of science and engineering, especially in areas related to the nanoscale.
